So many people are into comparing LED’s to Neon and intent on putting neon down, why?

LED’s are used in some cool items but they are not the perfect lighting item that so many LED companies claim. LED’s cause bright spots and don’t make the fluid light that Neon does. LED’s are single directional light but Neon gives off up to 360 degrees of light, making it fully bright in all directions.

The following tables will compare Neon and LED lighting, architectural, and theater industries.

The information below is provided to assist in the design and specification of neon. Please note that lighting data will change as new advances are reported.

Table 1: Comparison of Various Lighting Sources - Output Efficiency, Color Range, & Lifespan

Table 2: Annual Operating Cost for 500 feet of NEON vs LED - Equal Light Output  for Similar Colors

Table 3: Typical Material Cost of NEON vs LED**

Table 4: Combined Initial Cost and 5 Year Operating Cost of above NEON and LED projects***
